Do you remember a Victory Garden?

During WWII the U.S. government encouraged Americans to plant a Victory Garden. This allows families to have more food to help them get through the war without having to be deprived of fruit and vegetables. A Victory Garden is the predecessor to the urban gardening movement. Below is an excellent video on how Victory Gardens help the community supply food to homeless shelters and people less fortunate than us. This is another example of how the community can help one another out if they agree that both these gardening practices can truly make a difference in a community. Even in the natural world you survive as a group and struggle as a loner. Check out the video below on more information about Victory Gardeners.
